Description: "A Little Bit of Stardust" offers a "nuts-and-bolts" introduction to comets for teachers, parents, and interested students. It provides basic information about what comets are, where they come from, which comets are in the news, when NASA's upcoming Stardust mission to collect and return comet dust to Earth will occur, and which other Internet websites to visit for additional comet information.

This educational module was designed to allow students to interactively explore the uses of the Southern California Global Positioning System and its data in earthquake studies.
