Fabrication Shop

At JPL's Fabrication Shop craftsmen shape materials into flight and test hardware to engineers' exacting specifications. The presenting engineer for this part of the tour was Sharon Langenbeck

Sharon Langenbeck Sharon Langenbeck is the Section Manager for Mechanical Engineering at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She was appointed to this position in 1993. Sharon manages over 200 engineers working mechanical engineering design and development of spacecraft and instruments. Prior to joining JPL in 1990, she spent eleven years at Lockheed California Company. Sharon received her Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1979.
