Student Working at JPL during Summer
Program: ALVA - Alliance for Learning and Vision for Under-represented Americans
Description: ALVA is a partnership between JPL and the University of Washington College of Engineering. Freshmen are assigned to high tech jobs that improve their college financing and give them a taste of a professional career. The 10-week experience consists of 30 hours of high technology work assignments augmented with 10 hours of workshops to promote proficiency in mathematics.
Eligibility: Entering UW freshmen in engineering and science, who are in the Minority Science & Engineering Program
